Thanksgiving is typically associated with expressing gratitude. I believe we do not need a season to be grateful. Life can sometimes be like a dark cloud hanging over our heads. Those days are not pleasant but are an absolute necessity in life.On gloomy days we can find some of our best inspiration.

Hard times teach us to be strong and to keep trying. We can be surrounded by the darkest of nights and somehow we manage to step forward into the unknown guided only by our faith. Be grateful for the moments that test you they will teach you patience.Your problems teach you how to be ingenious and cm up with solutions. There is nothing in life that you can not overcome. There is no yin without yang, no light without darkness. The next time you are going through a trying period; remember it won’t last forever and there is always something to be grateful for. You are doing your best and that really is all that matters.

Have a Wonderful day and remember to express gratitude to someone special in your life 🙂

What are you grateful for today? What have you learned from the tough times in your life?

  1. Totally agree. I’ve always thought that it’s weird that we only express gratitude on one day (then eat in excess). We have so much to be thankful for on a daily basis.

  2. This was very fitting for me at this point in my life. I just lost my father last Thursday and I am feeling a lot of things right now but I feel a great deal of gratitude that he didnt suffer like he could have, gratitude that I had as much time with him as I did, and mostly that he is no longer in pain.

    • My condolences to you and your family . It is good that you can approach his passing with an attitude of gratitude . It is not easy to see loved ones suffer . Wishing you great love and support

  3. Totally agree! We don’t need a holiday to be grateful! I’m always grateful for everything i have, everything that has been taken, and everything that’s yet to come!! Loved this post as always Tachi! 💕

  4. Well said. This is a statement to live by. As for myself I’m grateful for a roof over my head and my family. Thanks for the post. Great blog!

  5. We don’t celebrate Thanksgiving day here but I totally agree to be thankful for what you have. Don’t just look at what you don’t have, instead be thankful of what you have. Another great motivational post for me. Love coming in your blog, Tachi 🙂

    • We don’t celebrate it in Barbados ether but so much of our culture is influenced by what happens up North, practicing gratitude can be trying at times especially when things are going south , Your comments are always much appreciated 🙂

  6. I think gratitude is such an important, yet often neglected, part of life. In those trying moments, I often find it difficult to remember they won’t last forever and that those difficult time will make me appreciate the times when everything is good that much more.

    • Especially when the unfortunate things keep happening one after the other. I find it hard to see the sunshine sometimes but you are so right. It does not last forever and that is the beautiful part of it all. It teaches us to appreciate the good times or to look harder for the good.
