Sandcastles

sandcastles a poem about love bajezen.blog

It was fun for a while , those playful days in the sun
She thought he would be the one to always make her smile
Sand flowed through her fingers
She wanted to build something everlasting
Put her heart and soul into it
An unexpected wave came in and washed it all away
Tried her hardest to salvage the ruins
In the end he wouldn’t stay
Grains of love remained , stuck to heart and stinging her eyes
The remnants of their time together
Memories replaying in her mind
Some people are like sandcastles
They aren’t meant to stay
You have fun , you cherish the moments
You build a masterpiece only to have it washed away
This is the story of love and life
You play with the fire and get burned 1000 times
Feelings cut you like a knife
This is the story of love and life
Everything is temporary
Not everything is meant to stay
You build a beautiful sandcastle only to have it washed away
