It is a simple act but I have lost count of how many times per day I forget to breathe A calm exterior yet inside a volcano consumes me Adrift In a sea of intense emotions
Overwhelmed, not a view of the shore in sight Panic is beginning to set in Will I survive this plight? Drained and depleted Surrounded by so much love and yet feeling so alone and empty Nothing it seems can fill the void Forlorn.
She found solace in the hurt She wore the scars of past wounds like a badge of honor It’s so ironic how thoughts can do so much damage She convinced herself being alone was for the best Not willing to take the risk of another plaster being ripped from the walls of her soul Being crazy in love did not become her Commitment phobia or maybe it was paranoia He was getting closer to unlocking the chains around her heart Maybe the feelings would go away if she ignored them She feared to be vulnerable; it seems love always left her feeling broken, winded and knocked off her feet Her head said no but with every beat of her heart she longed to own him Yearning for somewhere to run and hide Old familiar pangs of wanting and longing to have someone by her side Should she risk the gamble? A timid, bruised and battered heart torn between the comfort of the past and the new story she was so afraid to write.
The heart-racing thrill of a first kiss The electrifying touch of a lover Dancing in the rain The sound of the ebb and flow of the ocean Simple and treasured moments Tantalising, mesmerizing Buzzing with indescribable feelings of joy
The taste of your favorite food Recovering from those emotional scars you thought would never heal A moment of silence to meditate A deep breath, a journey through the galaxies A spiritual message, getting in touch with the deepest parts of yourself Playing with your demons, making peace with the insecurities that you strive to hide To know yourself and embrace it all To be open to and flowing with the very essence of life On a higher level of consciousness, detached Present for every moment of this journey Knowing that the happy life is all up to you Your beliefs determine whether or not you are merely existing or living a blissful life
If you could hire someone to help you, would it be with cleaning, cooking, or yard work?
I love cooking and cleaning. I would hire someone to iron I hate ironing. I am actually fine with yard work as well. It is a good workout.
If you were to move and your home came fully furnished with everything you ever wanted, list at least three things from your old house you wish to retain?.
I love the message of these wall ornaments would keep those.
My rocking chair and my daughter’s baby blanket.
What calms you down?
A few minutes of meditation, the beach and the smell of lavender can have me zen in a few minutes. Music and a good belly laugh always get me in a good mood as well.
What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week? Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.
I was inspired by this quote. So very often we get bogged down with daily stresses we lose focus of what really matters. You are never fully dressed without a smile. Despite what may be going wrong there is always a reason to be grateful.
God laughs as we plan, life, it never actually follows the script that we write Sometimes all your are left with is a broken compass and an ounce of willpower to navigate the stormy times Troubled waters, rough seas heartbreaks that shatter your soul, your heart left to bleed How do u handle it all? Do you surmount every obstacle Or do you huddle in a corner and hide Can’t fix the problem; then adjust your attitude Let nothing dull your sparkle Keep believing in your magic Let your heart and intuition be your only guide.
Memories of the pitter patter of little feet A cocktail of laughter and tears, the breakups, the makeups Building a home is never an easy job It takes hard work married with creativity You want to keep your little ones safely tucked under your wings With a huge dose of faith and pangs of anxiety, you let them go Knowing one day they would grow up to do brave and marvelous things Your will was always tested but you refused to let them stray The baby bird now grown will always be a baby in her mother’s eyes You blink and in instant, your little ones have flown away It’s quiet now, maybe too quiet The proud mother hen smiles, knowing she did her best We can only pray to keep them protected, to raise them well and hopefully they will live a good life beyond the nest Written By Tachira Wiltshire
Thanksgiving is typically associated with expressing gratitude. I believe we do not need a season to be grateful. Life can sometimes be like a dark cloud hanging over our heads. Those days are not pleasant but are an absolute necessity in life.On gloomy days we can find some of our best inspiration.
Hard times teach us to be strong and to keep trying. We can be surrounded by the darkest of nights and somehow we manage to step forward into the unknown guided only by our faith. Be grateful for the moments that test you they will teach you patience.Your problems teach you how to be ingenious and cm up with solutions. There is nothing in life that you can not overcome. There is no yin without yang, no light without darkness. The next time you are going through a trying period; remember it won’t last forever and there is always something to be grateful for. You are doing your best and that really is all that matters.
Have a Wonderful day and remember to express gratitude to someone special in your life 🙂
What are you grateful for today? What have you learned from the tough times in your life?
