The Journey Within

Six Motivational Tips For A Marvelous Monday Bajezen.Blog1 (2).png

Weighed down by burdens left unseen
They were never hers to carry why couldn’t she keep the slate clean
Trying to do it all like Supergirl
She could never win
Feeling like she was failing at life ready to throw the towel in
Giving away precious energy until it eroded her soul
It was all so heavy, it got too heavy holding on to the old familiar faces the things that brought her comfort but stabbed at her psyche
Dull and aching
She longed for a taste of a new life
Feeling trapped, caged,  a prisoner in her own skin
When did she become tethered
The lioness wanted to growl but all she could muster was a whimper
It was time to start over
Allow, accept, and release
Face it head on
She had forgotten her strength
Her inner goddess unamused
Clawing to break free from the mental chains
Somehow she conjured the strength to rediscover the magic buried deep inside
She dug deep, no more suffering, no more doubts she would no longer hide
Rediscovering her purpose
Redefining her goals, basking in the dysfunctional beauty of the moment she was in
She would grow to love herself again

The Daily Prompt Conjure

Dominant

dominant bajezen

Sticking with the romance or as one of my readers said Fifty shades theme. I never finished the books. Anna annoyed me. I think maybe we all want someone to accept us as we are. Completely.

Quiet and unassuming
The unexpected stallion rode her rugged
Dominant, dark and intense she felt him to her core
Tied up, stripped down
Relentless passion
He was her master
She whispered ”Yes sir ” I want to fulfill your every desire ”
He possessed her mind, body, and soul.

Entanglement

lust bajezen.blog

I was always a fan of trashy romance novels. I suppose all women need that little bit of imaginative spice in their lives; that heart pounding, bliss-inducing electricity these stories always describe. One part fiction, one part real life. My attempt at that dabbling with that romance novel vibe.

” What’s life without a little risk”? he whispered
She begged him to go but as he drew nearer her heart slammed against her chest
I hate everything about you she taunted
He drew her nearer and she quivered as if she was haunted
She lost all her reasoning as he gently sampled her lips
Heat flooded her body as his kisses grew more intense
Piercing and electric
His touch was her kryptonite
He persisted, she resisted
He not only ravished her body but he lay claim to part of soulful essence that night.

What is your favorite thing about blogging?

My favorite thing about blogging is being able to share my thoughts and ideas with others. I really enjoy interacting with my fellow bloggers they make the blogosphere feel like home.

Why did you start blogging? Any inspirations?

I started blogging because I just felt the urge to write and create. I find blogging to be quite therapeutic. My best friend who just happens to be a psychiatrist recommended that I start one; maybe she was trying to tell me that I need counseling who knows.

If you only had one word to describe your blog, what would it be?

Inspiring well hopefully that is what I aim for it to be.

Where are you from? Describe it.

I am from Barbados. A tiny island in the Caribbean. 166 square miles to be exact. Sun, sea, and sand are what we are all about. We don’t have the typical seasons here. Barbadians love good food, rum, and calypso. Beautiful beaches are the main highlight of the island. I would like to think that it makes up for the ridiculous cost of living here.

What is something that you are passionate about?

Anything that inspires me to be creative and to express myself. I have always loved drama and the arts.

Where is your happy place?

My happy place is the beach. I honestly could spend my entire life there. I just love the water.

If you had the chance to meet any celebrity/ influencer, who would it be?

I would love to meet Patrick Starrr I love his bold and bubbly personality. Not to mention his makeup is to die for.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

In ten years I want to be living in another country. I have not decided where yet. I will own my own business and be financially free.

What is your biggest fear?

I have a fear of drowning. I really should learn how to swim.

What is something you’ve been wanting to do but have been putting off?

I need to learn how to drive. I have been putting it off for years.

If you could travel in time, would you travel to the past or the future? Why?

I would travel to the future I want to see how the world turns out and if we actually achieve equality and make the world a better place.

Carve Out Your Own Reality

Add heading (29).png

Unsteady footing not sure where she wanted to go in this life
Doors slammed shut and no windows open
Honestly not a sense of relief in sight
Longing for a feeling, or  some dose of inspiration
Life it was blah and surely she was lacking motivation
Afraid to weave a new tale she was so stuck on the last
Reality bites when you live in the past

None of us are certain of the exact path that we take in this life. Tomorrow is never promised and that is proven every day. We may have another minute another hour who knows? Are you going to spend your precious moments living in the past or being present?  Are you living the life you want? Like right now at this very minute?

If the answer is no, then what are you waiting for?

We all have our demons and issues to deal with. You can look at some people and see that they wear their burdens on their faces. It’s like a cycle of constant negativity repeating all the things that are wrong with your life. Then some people wonder why things never seem to go right.
Keep calling in the negativity and rehashing the issues and you never ever really breathe any fresh air. The staleness of the past trials will always continue to stand in your way.

There comes a point where you have to examine yourself and really wade through some of the bullshit that you keep repeating. It never really leaves you if you never try to learn the lessons.  I choose to let go is my current mantra. Never let being caught up in your web of so-called problems leave you bitter. If you really take a moment ,  a real moment to go deep and embrace everything that you hold inside, you will let go or make peace with all of the shit that consumes you and eats you alive.

You have to make space for something new to come in. Circumstances are not the determinant of whether you love the life that you are living. You have to carve out your own reality; not just sit on your ass and take it as it comes. In most cases, all you need to do is allow accept and move on but us imperfect beings tend to hold on to things too long. We want what we can’t have or we refuse to adapt. As the song says the grass isn’t greener on the other side it’s greener under  you.

BAJEZEN.BLOG (14).png

I know what it’s like to be stuck in a story you never intended to write. You just have to remember that it is a chapter, just one chapter and not let anything overtake your life.
You create your own reality. How do you perceive it? You are either your own best friend or your worst enemy.

Treat : A Soul’s Delight

treat bajezen.blog

Searching for fulfillment in bags, shoes, and clothes she always came up empty
Always feeling less than whole she craved someone to love her completely
Searching, looking externally to be fulfilled
Vacant, soulless what was the purpose of the mundanity?
The temporal was devoid of any divinity or was it?
Ravenous for a soulful  treat
To tantalize, mesmerize
To satiate the undying need for the extraordinary
To feel as wild and unbridled as the tempestuous seas
To be a masterpiece akin to all the colors of the rainbow
Hot passionate and robust
Refreshed energy, she finally dared to feel alive
She was everything it just took her a while to realize
She would bend but never break
Nourish and delight her soul and live a life of her own design

Finally

FINALLY BAJEZEN.BLOG.png

Crackle pop and a fizzle
Look to the sky at the spectacular display
The crowd erupts in oohs and ahs
Drinks in a hand, hugs, and kisses
Full of good cheer
Finally, the new year 2018 is here.
Full of so much hope and expectations
We welcome the unknown with such anticipation
The best is yet to come
Drop the past without a care
Believe in all the goodness that is in store for you this year

The Daily Prompt Finally

Torn

TORN A POEM BY BAJEZEN.BLOG.png

She found solace in the hurt
She wore the scars of past wounds like a badge of honor
It’s so ironic how thoughts can do so much damage
She convinced herself being alone was for the best
Not willing to take the risk of another plaster being ripped from the walls of her soul
Being crazy in love did not become her
Commitment phobia or maybe it was paranoia
He was getting closer to unlocking the chains around her heart
Maybe the feelings would go away if she ignored them
She feared to be vulnerable; it seems love always left her feeling broken, winded and knocked off her feet
Her head said no but with every beat of her heart she longed to own him
Yearning for somewhere to run and hide
Old familiar pangs of wanting and longing to have someone by her side
Should she risk the gamble?
A timid, bruised and battered heart torn between the comfort of the past and the new story she was so afraid to write.

Share Your World December 18th 2017

December 18th 2017 Bajezen.Blog 2

If you could hire someone to help you, would it be with cleaning, cooking, or yard work?

I love cooking and cleaning. I would hire someone to iron I hate ironing. I am actually fine with yard work as well. It is a good workout.

If you were to move and your home came fully furnished with everything you ever wanted, list at least three things from your old house you wish to retain?.

I love the message of these wall ornaments would keep those.

My rocking chair and my daughter’s baby blanket.

What calms you down?

A few minutes of meditation, the beach and the smell of lavender can have me zen in a few minutes. Music and a good belly laugh always get me in a good mood as well.

What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week? Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.

I was inspired by this quote. So very often we get bogged down with daily stresses we lose focus of what really matters. You are never fully dressed without a smile. Despite what may be going wrong there is always a reason to be grateful.
