Summertime : Casual Indulgence

Summertime just screams casual indulgence
Don't you agree?
School is out,, the children are chasing the  ice cream trucks
Full of joy, playing in the streets
We loosen those ties
Trade the loafers for flip-flops
And cast our worries in the sea
There is something so seemingly seductive about the heat
Here in Barbados we have a festival called Cropover
We get dressed up in costumes and wine and dance
In the streets
When you live on an island
The theme of life is casual
Sandy toes and salty hair
Listening to sweet calypso and lying on the beach with a beer
Relaxation is the ultimate treat
