Self care isn’t just for Sundays

self care is not just for sundays

Self-care isn’t just for Sundays. For most of us, Sundays are typically a day of rest. Having worked most Sundays for the past few months; I have grown to appreciate having this day all to myself. Something about Sundays makes me just want to chill, eat good food and lounge around in my PJs all day.

Hopefully, you guys have some downtime today to relax and reflect on the week. For those of us who are really high-strung; this your reminder to take it easy. So grab a cup of coffee or tea and check out some of my tips.

Last week I was featured on the website of a local entrepreneur. She has recently launched her website which promotes a message of positivity and motivation. My article was all about self-care. Kudos to her and anyone trying to spread some light in this sometimes very dark world.  Check out her website

Remember to take care of yourself today and every day. Happy Sunday Everyone.

  1. Sundays, when I am in India are always busy, so I real don’t get time to enjoy a lazy weekend. Yesterday, I had a lot of visitors home and had to make lunch for almost 15 to 20 people on a very short notice. I get to chill today(Monday).

  2. Great post. I usually choose the weekends for self-care, but I think I can try to do something everyday. Writing, listening to music and taking baths are my go-to activities. 🙂

    • As a single mother I sometimes am guilty of neglecting myself . After an anxiety attack recently I think that jolted me back to the reality that I need to take better care of myslef . Thanks for commenting

  3. For me Sunday’s are for getting everything ready for the week. I always make sure the washing has been done and dinner is sorted for the week. I think I need a better approach to Sunday’s I think.

    • I think along with all of that you need to do something to treat yourself. Sometimes most of my housework is done on Sundays but I make sure I find a little me time or quiet time or I do something nice for myself

  4. Currently reading your blog post which in my pj’s. I am totally the same… there is just something about Sunday’s that make you want to just chill. I used to work Sat & Sun’s for 5 years and I do not miss those days!

    • I can relate . I worked weekends and graveyard shifts for three years . Not missed at all . It makes you appreciate the weekends more 🙂 Thanks for commenting.

Im all about self care Sundays because that is the only day when I don’t have too many obligations. I agree that self care should be an everyday ritual.

    • It definitely should be an everyday thing. By the way I love your skincare posts 🙂 They inspired me to take a better approach to my skincare routine
