Some days we get so wound up and bent out of shape about things. Things are not going our way or so we think.  Someone was rude and put us in a pissy mood.  The rain poured, you got dumped, the wax lady messed up your eyebrows (maybe that would be a tragedy). All things we have absolutely no control over. 

 In life there are celebrations and triumphs and then well sometimes there is stuff that literally makes you feel like shit. Think about it though, what did your fret or complain about yesterday? Is it still relevant today? Was it something you could change? If not you already have the answer right there. Let It Go. If it does not bring you peace let it go.

Let’s consider how quickly time is flying I mean life is literally passing us by. I swear it was just Christmas wasn’t it? How do you want to spend this life .? In a constant state of worry, regret, guilt, anxiety?  As my therapist told me, I call her my therapist she is really a soul sister ”Tachira you got this one life.   Get out of your head. It isn’t that serious. Let it Go! 

Whatever you have lost will be replaced by something better. Whatever is seemingly without a solution will be solvedIt is always working out in your favour; even when it does not seem that way. So have a drinkeat some cake, binge-watch a show, go to the beach, ravish your lover, hug your mama, cry, drop an f-bomb or several whatever it takes to get you in a good place. 

This one life is what we were given to live joyfully, passionately. It may be a mess sometimes but it’s your mess.  I firmly believe there is a flip side a bright side, a lesson in everything. Take a deep breath, laugh it off, cry it out; whatever you do. Just let all of the bullshit go.  So I wrote this one for anyone who feels stuck or heavy laden. Remember you can get through anything. You are a badass. You are beautiful and blessed, way too awesome to be stressed. Stay in your magic. Give your soul a break and let it go.

I let go of the fucks and set myself free
Disregard the chatter of your opinions of me
Let the tension dissipate
As I can finally breathe
No longer defined by your insignificant boundaries
I am what I am
Repeat after me I am what I am
Declare it boldly
The energy of an entire universe flows through me
Unshakeable, fierce you can’t mess with me
Celebrate what you are
Seize the power of the present
Let go of the fucks and set yourself free.

    Beautiful, really need this reminder every day. So love that you have a ‘therapist’ soul sister, we all need a friend like that. Now the eyebrows getting messed up, I don’t think I could let that one go, LOL!

      Me either Lisa . I remember when I was younger I shaved them all off . It was not a good look at all . She keeps me balanced . Her and friends like you . I would probably go batty without you guys .

    I am one who always used to be upset about things that I couldn’t control and it got me no where . In my 40s, im finally learning the art of letting go! This is very encouraging!

      It never does achieve anything but making you miserable . I think as we get older we get a better handle on what really matters. Thanks for commenting .

    Love this! There is so much negativity out there and everyone has an opinion. It’s so important t take a second to feel the pain, sadness, or negative emotion…and then make the decision to be done with it and move on.

    I read a book called the Power or Now that helped me stay present and look at the good. It really helped me. BTW, my dad was born in the state of Tachira in Venezuela. Is that where your family is from?

      No I am from Barbados 🙂 my cousin heard the name when he was sailing and my mom liked it . I think I need to give that book a read ?

    True about letting it go. Just want to share with you all the 1 thing I do when I am stressed. I read inspirational quotes to remind myself that the situation is not that bad and I pray. Hopefully this will also help you guys.
