She searched frantically among the disorganised mess
Looked in every corner and crevice
Where was it?
Distraught she desperately sought her purpose
The butterfly of happiness was fleeting
Many things piqued her curiosity but nothing sustained her interest
Lost and bewildered she found herself constantly seeking
Something was missing or was it?
An existential crisis, wouldn’t it be better to just end it all?
Heavy laden she looked to the skies for a sign
Had the Universe abandoned her?
In her darkest moment somehow she found the will to carry on
The little voice in her head whispered change your focus
Focus on helping others and be less self-centred
Maybe, just maybe you will discover your purpose.
